Rehabilitation Rules

Spinal joints take time to settle after surgery. Strictly observe these movement guidelines:

  • Avoid Force: Never push or stretch into sharp, sudden nerve pain or radiating symptoms.
  • Fusion Pacing: If you underwent instrumented spinal fusion, major bending is restricted during the first 6-12 weeks. Maintain safe, neutral alignments.
  • Cervical Caution: Keep neck movements smooth and controlled. Avoid jerking or heavy axial loading.

Interpreting Results

A transition from "Painful / Restricted" to "Mild Stiffness" or "Normal" represents positive clinical pacing and neural tissue adaptation. Share these findings directly with your physiotherapist.
